How to Order Your Stonehenge Concrete Countertops

Purchasing a new concrete countertop is a process that begins with advance planning. The more you plan the smoother, and faster the process.

If you are remodeling, we recommend you visit our showroom in Hillsborough as early as you can. At this initial visit you can see samples of tops, colors, templates and other unque qualities of concrete tops. You will have so many more choices and ways to peronsalize your tops than are available if you were purchsing Corain, Caesarstone, Silestone or Granite - you will want to follow these key steps:

1. Select my color Stonehenge Countertops has dozens of color samples to chose from, our we can develop a custom color and provide samples for your approval. If you want a custom color, please allow us about three weeks for us to produce the samples. Naturally, choosing a color we have already made saves time.
   
   
2. Template the top We can template as soon as the cabinets are fully installed. This step usually takes less than a day. Unlike most granite fabricators, we do not require that your existing tops be removed before we template. We will provide a template checklist of items we need to know about such as sinks, faucets, and appliances like cooktops that are inserted into the top. It is always safest to have these fixtures available at the time of template to avoid the possibility of mistakes.
   
   Since we do not require that the old tops be removed for template, you can wait to remove them until a day before our scheduled installation, or we can provide removal and disposal as part of the package.
   
   In cases where Royal Cabinet Company is providing new cabinets, we may be able to fabricate your new concrete countertop from AutoCAD drawings and save the delay of a field template.
   
   
3. Fabrication Depending on size and complexity, most concrete countertops can be fabricated in two to three weeks. We recommend that you contact Stonehenge Countertops at the beginning of the project, or at least a month before the cabinets are installed. You do not want to be rushed when looking at color selection and the other design options possible with your new concrete countertop. Meeting with us early also helps with reserving a spot on our production schedule. We pride ourselves in customer service, so with your help, we will work to meet your timetable whenever physically possible.
   
   

4. Installation We can install most pre-cast tops in under a day. Our concrete countertops are handled and installed like most granite tops. The sections are placed, leveled, and then seams are caulked with a color-matched caulk. You should arrange for plumbing and electrical hookup for the day after the top is installed.

Stonehenge Countertops offers a one year warranty for our tops. Your concrete tops will outlast your cabinets, but we will take care of any problems that may arise during the first year of use.

We will provide you with an Owner's Guide and you can be confident that we will be here when you call. After 48 years in business, we are not going anywhere.
